THE EASTERN CAPE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND ONE MILLION SHOES CAMPAIGN JOIN FORCES TO SUPPORT STUDENTS. 

The ECDoE and 1Million Shoes Campaign, a non-profit organization, partnered to donate 700 shoes to learners in need at Nyandeni Municipality. The event was held at Dan's Conference Place in Mthatha

The initiative provides essential support, particularly to those in rural areas, and promotes a positive learning environment. 

By providing shoes and school uniforms, the Eastern Cape Department of Education is denting the cycle of poverty and its impact to households. 

ECDoE MEC Fundile Gade emphasized, "By providing shoes to various learners, we are responding to the cycle of poverty, therefore stabilize households and improve access to education." 

He concluded by making a heartfelt plea to individuals and organizations to join hands in supporting indigent learners across the province.

This call to action highlights the importance of community involvement in creating a bright future for the province's youth.
