In today's fast-paced digital world, education needs to be dynamic, accessible, and cutting-edge. The e-Teaching and Learning Directorate, led by Lutho Kota-Mgwali, is the trailblazer driving digital transformation in the Eastern Cape Department of Education.

They recently hosted a Capacity Building Session at Mphekweni Resort from 06 to 10 October 2025, where best practices were shared with representatives from the province's twelve districts. The Directorate is dedicated to infusing technology into teaching and learning, crafting epic educational experiences that benefit learners across the Eastern Cape.

Digital accessibility ensures that learning opportunities are open to all districts in the province, fostering equity and inclusiveness. During the session, the twelve districts had the opportunity to share their innovative approaches and best practices, facilitating a collaborative transition to digital learning environments.
