Sandisiwe High School 2023 Grade 12 Valedictory Assembly

Eastern Cape Department of Education Sandisiwe high School in Nu14 Mdantsane under Buffalo City Municipality District held its annual Valedictory Assembly on the 25 October 2023 at their school premises. 

The Valedictory Assembly is a solemn prayer that is meant to say farewell to grade 12 learners as they will be commencing with their final examinations in the upcoming week on the 30 October 2023.

“The purpose of the Assembly is to allow and give learners an opportunity to realize the time for high school is over and life in the outside world needs a responsible person. 

Moreover, the ceremony gives the learners the parental connection which some of them do not experience as they maybe in child headed homes or have family challenges,” said Ms Zozo, School Educator.

Another Educator from the school, Ms Hosolo further went on to say, “The Valedictory Assembly means we are releasing our Learners in order for them to be prepared for the outside world, giving them words of wisdom, motivation and encouraging them.”

Speaking on behalf of grade 12 learners, were two learners from the School, Sinoyolo Gwebenani and Bavuyise Bodlo.

Sinoyolo said, My experience has been nothing but a wonderful experience with great memories, we have learnt a lot during these past few terms, not only knowledgeable but also how to strive for better in the future. 

The moments shared are worth it because of who we are today it is because of all experiences in our high school journey.

Additionally, Bavuyisile said, “The teachers have been preparing us for the final examinations for some time and they have done an incredible job for us not to be ready for the final examinations.”
