Premier Mabuyane to honor Top-Performing Matriculants
Eastern Cape Premier, Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, will honor the province's top-performing matriculants for the 2024 academic year at the East London International Convention Centre on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
This prestigious award ceremony will take place a day after the release of the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) results by Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube.
Prior to the ceremony, Education MEC Fundile Gade will brief the media on the province’s Class of 2024 Matrics' performance at the same venue.
In recent years, the Eastern Cape Province has demonstrated a consistent upward trend, achieving an impressive 81.4% matric pass rate in 2023, securing the sixth spot nationally.
