The Eastern Cape Department of Education in Partnership with the Department of Public Works has recently opened Grade R Facilities for the small township of Chris Hani East -Thembelihle.

This is part of a back-to-school campaign initiative was aimed at encouraging all stakeholders to participate in promoting teaching and learning at all schools.

It is also about ensuring the safety of schools and motivating learners to go back to school in their numbers.

MEC for Education Mr Fundile Gade said in his opening remarks that it is important that the government invigorate the foundation of learners in order to produce results of high quality.

The Community of Thembhelihle came in numbers to support and witness the excellent job done by the Eastern cape Government as a whole.
