This prestigious school located in Tyutyu Village in King William’s Town held a ‘Tie Day’ ceremony to prepare the current class of 2025 of what’s to come during the 2025 academic year. The HoD of the School, Thandeka Ntoni, welcomed everyone to the gathering with excitement. The word of God was the theme of the day as the guest speaker Tabisa Mrwebi, founder of “This girl wins” a ‘Buffalo City comumunity unsung hero award’ nominated NGO, lead with a song in praise before her speech.

The local hero championed empowerment to the pupils and called on everyone to uplift one another during the academic year and promote social integration. Much to the leaners’ adoration, she further explained what the colors of their ties mean, the red being passion, the navy being leadership and learning to take charge, while the blue symbolises loyalty and being true to one’s core. This speech was met with praise and cheers from all parties.

Keeping up with the day’s theme for the main activity Reverend Fuma, encouraged everyone to pray in unison and bless the ties, thereafter ties were individually given to learners.

To close the proceedings, Principal Mvuyisile Sam, expressed joy for the quality of results everyone managed to achieve the previous year, notably the 58 Bachelor passes, 07 admission to Diploma passes and 02 higher certificate passes. He echoed that ,they will work hard in achieving yet again another 100% pass rate for the Class of 2025.
