ECDoE celebrates World Read Aloud Day

The Eastern Cape Department of Education Primary Curriculum Progamme in collaboration with Oxford South Africa, Funda Wande, Institute of Training and Education for Capacity-Building (ITEC) are today the 02nd of February 2022 hosting their First Read A Loud day at the Steve Vukile Tshwete Complex in Zwelitsha.

The purpose of this celebration is to promote literacy skills and increase comprehension through the reading activities and encourage everyone to participate in the scheduled activities.

This initiative aligns with the provincial reading plan which states "set up meetings with communities, businesses, professional bodies and publishers and encourage them to support the ECDOE Reading for meaning.
