Amathole West District celebrates Grade 12 Class of 2021

About 100 educators and Eastern Cape Department of Education, Head of Department, Dr. Naledi Mbude, Amathole West District Director Nomgcobo Futshane to name the few attended the Amathole West 2021 Matric Results Celebration in Ntyatyambo Primary School, Ngqushwa.

The aim of the event was to celebrate success of Amathole West District, Matric class of 2021 results and also to award educators who dedicated themselves during the trying times of the Epidemic.

The celebrations started with welcoming deviation from the Ngqushwa Municipality Mayor Siyabulela Maneli.

Honorable Maneli warmly welcomed the attendees and said, "We are here today to acknowledge the great was that was done by the Grade 12 class of 2021 in our district, and I am very delighted by the achievement that you have done to put our district on the map, therefore we hope that the matric class of 2022 will work more harder to keep the momentum".

'It was never easy but through perseverance, dedication, positive attitudes has made us where we are today' said Futshane as she was presenting District Overview during the ceremony.  Futshane further said "We are a district on the rise, and it will need more energy from Officials to keep it on top."

Addressing keynote during the AWD Grade 12 Class of 2021 celebration was the ECDoE Head of Department Dr. Naledi Mbude, she said "Our province is today the second highest province with bachelor pass for the first time in the history of the province and this happened because of appreciating one another. "

Dr. Mbude concluded the day by thanking everyone that was part of the team and believes that the achievement was done through collective work from All.
