Alfred Ndzo East Education district t host provincial pledge signing ceremony

The Eastern Cape Department of Education MEC, Fundile Gade will lead the Provincial Pledge Signing Ceremony to be held this Friday, October 18th , 2024, at the Bizana Methodist Church, Alfred Ndzo East Education district at 10:00 am

The occasion is meant to allow all Grade 12 learners to commit through signing the pledge for a clean, fair and irregularity free National Senior Certificate Examinations (NSC). Additionally, critical stakeholders expected in the ceremony include teacher unions, Learner Representatives council and local education stakeholders as led by the District Education Forum.

The signing of the pledge is amongst the many proactive approaches by the department to reduce and ultimately curb all examination related irregularities in the province.  All districts will be conducting this signing ceremony, but the Provincial Pledge Signing ceremony is scheduled as follows:

Venue: Methodist church, Bizana town

Time: 10H00

All media is invited and attending journalists will be afforded an opportunity for one-on-one interviews with the departmental leaders present.
