The Eastern Cape Department of Education Primary Curriculum Management ,was at Hotel Osner for their 7th Provincial Natural Science Olympiads and ASTRO Quiz Competion.

The ASTRO Quiz Competition is an astronomy-based question-and-answer contest for teams of learners. The competition begins at the school level, where learners compete against each other, and winners are selected to advance to the district level.

Top achievers then represent their districts at the provincial level.

The aim for Natural Science and Technology Olympiads ,is to identify and nurture talent in the subject and to increase the number of learners who opt for STEM subject in the FET Band.

Chief Director for Primary Curriculumn , Chulekazi Bula, expressed her sincere gratitude to the sponsors who made this Competition possible,including Osner Hotel,Total Energies,MacMillan Education,Maskew Miller Learning.

Alfred Ndzo East Zamilizwe Primary School came in 1st Position, followed by New Generation under the BCM District and OR Tambo Inland Modern Primary School came in 3rd.
