As part of restoring learner dignity in the Eastern Cape, Education MEC Fundile Gade in partnership with Gift of the Givers will handover an ablution block to Sinethemba High, Mdantsane, Buffalo City at 10:00 am. 

This public private partnership to restore learner dignity is a response to the departmental leadership call to partner with various stakeholders in the refurbishment and revamping of schools ravaged by recent storms and heavy rains. 

The construction of the new ablution block worth R500 000 was fully funded by ABSA who funded infrastructure projects of the Gift of the Givers. 

The handover of the facility means it is now ready for use and will be handed over to the department to include it in its asset register as part of the school property. Details of the event are as follows:
