ECDoE to start Cluster B school governing bodies induction in BCM

The zeal to enhance school governance and functionality has caused the Eastern Cape Department of
Education to kickstart a two-day Cluster B School Governing Bodies (SGB) induction workshop tomorrow, August 20th, 2024, at Gonubie primary school, BCM Education district, 10:00 am.

The workshop follows the declaration of the recent SGB elections free and fair by the election coordinating body across the province. Furthermore, this training will introduce the newly elected to the departmental policies, regulations and rules of engagement in the sector. This training will also orientate and enable the SGBs to perform their functions efficiently. 

All Media houses are invited, and attending journalists will be afforded an opportunity for one-on-one interviews with the departmental leadership including present partners.
